Wolves in three-club race to sign six-goal former Premier League winger

With six goals in a season that ended in relegation, Ismaïla Sarr is almost certain to leave relegated Watford this summer and the competition for his signature is hotting up with three clubs keen.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the chase, but champions Liverpool and Crystal Palace are also in the mix for the 22-year-old.

Sarr arrived last summer from Rennes for a fee in the region of €30million, and no doubt Watford will want to recoup all of that when the transfer window re-opens. A sizable fee that could put off suitors considering the current pandemic and the financial implications it’s having.

The report in the Watford Observer states that for Wolves to swoop, it will depend very much on if Adama Traore leaves. The same for Palace, if Wilfried Zaha leaves. Ismaïla Sarr is viewed as a direct replacement.
