Wolves eye surprise £15m bid for striker with one goal in 24 games

Wolves struck gold with the signing of Raul Jimenez but since the Mexican striker’s injury they have struggled to find goals, with signings such as Fabio Silva and Willian Jose just not cutting it, yet.

So unsurprisingly the Wolves are in for another goalscorer in the summer and in a shock report via the Sun, the club will look to plunder soon to be relegated Sheffield United for Oliver McBurnie – a 24-year-old Scottish international with a wholly unimpressive scoring record.

McBurnie has just one goal all-season for Sheff Utd, in 24 games and to make it even more surprising, the transfer could cost as much as £15million.

Of course, it’s been a hugely ‘off season’ for Sheffield, with few players putting in great stats and McBurnie has done well in previous seasons including at Swansea City in the Championship.

Should it be a partnership of the Scot and Raul Jimenez next season, it could be an under the radar move that could be solid business, but fans will need convincing having seen the numbers.
