Wilfried Zaha is a wanted-man once again, according to the Daily Mail, despite having a less than spectacular season at Crystal Palace. Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga clubs are readying bids ahead of the transfer window.
Newcastle are perhaps the most intriguing club to be named with a link to Zaha, but that seems very dependent on the club’s proposed takeover, which continues to move at a snail’s pace.
Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are big names on the continent with an interest – both clubs are monitoring the Ivorian Coast international’s availability as the season in England winds down.
Everton were the most open to move for Zaha last summer, but it ultimately ended with the 27-year-old staying at Selhurst Park, with Palace wanting £80 million – that’s an asking-price that will surely drop this summer.
The report does clarify that it’s ‘unknown’ whether or not Palace will entertain any bids in the short break between seasons, with financial implications during the pandemic not clear for the south London club.
