West Ham to splash out £18.9m on midfielder once PL survival is official

West Ham United are reportedly ‘obliged’ to splash out £18.9million on midfielder Tomas Suocek once Premier League safety is confirmed – according to the Telegraph.

The 25-year-old Czech midfielder has been a standout performer since the Premier League’s return – three girls in the last five have all but confirmed the Hammers’ status in the top-flights.

Mathematically West Ham can still go down, but it would take something quite remarkable for that to happen in the finals games.

The report claims a binding agreement between the Hammers and Suocek’s club Slavia Prague is in-place, and West Ham are more than keen to fulfil the transfer promise.

It’s said that West Ham already paid £4million in January as a loan fee, so with the additional £18.9m, Suocek will cost the east London side a tidy £22.9m.
