West Ham believe they can snap up Championship star duo for £25m on one condition

West Ham United have belief that if promotion to the Premier League fails to materialise for Nottingham Forest, if and when the season is completed, they can swoop and pick up two of their star players for a cool £25 million.

Football Insider reports that Matty Cash, 22, and Joe Worrall, 23, are those targeted. The duo have been standout performers for Forest in their promotion push so far this season, with Cash even drawing transfer interest from Italian giants AC Milan back in the January window.

Finances could also be strained due to the postponement of football for Nottingham Forest and as such may be cornered into raising funds when the transfer window does open.

West Ham will surely be diving into the market when the season concludes with a number of players likely to make way in east London to give the Hammers squad a much-needed reboot.

The two defenders have been integral to Forest, with both playing 39 games each this season, as well as their ages being very much on the side of West Ham picking up two players that they can build a team around for years to come.
