West Brom face losing out on ‘free agent’ as Premier League rivals circle

West Bromwich Albion are still looking to do business, outside of the transfer window, with a free agent signing but the Baggies are facing up to losing out to a rival.

Former Leicester attacker Ahmed Musa is available on a free and has reportedly impressed WBA boss Sam Allardyce, however with the budget already stretched, the struggling Premier League club are facing pressure from the likes of Burnley, Southampton and Brighton – according to the Mail.

The 28-year-old has even been training at the Hawthorns this week and completed medical checks, but finances are an issue.

With the likes of Brighton, Burnley and Southampton all in more ‘secure’ looking league positions, Musa may end up elsewhere, much to the frustration of Big Sam’s ‘great escape’ plans.
