It’s now expected, via West Brom boss Slaven Bilic, that defender Nathan Ferguson will sign for Crystal Palace, possibly as early as next week.

In an interview via Sky Sports News and reported on Transfer Centre, Bilic revealed that a new deal had been pushed towards Ferguson but one could not be agreed. The 19-year-old is no longer training with WBA.

Crystal Palace made a bid in January for the starlet but that was rejected, now the Eagles are set to take advantage and snap him up on a free transfer when his contract expires on July 1st.

That was like a secret for the last few months.”

We did our best. We gave him a chance when he was extremely young. He was one of those players where we said we didn’t need anyone else in that position, because we believe in him big time.”

Bilic told the interviewer that he believes Ferguson would go on to be a future England international.

West Brom are on the verge of promotion to the Premier League and will come up against Palace in all likelihood next season.
