Top Liverpool transfer target has reportedly ‘never been close’ to a move
Fans of clubs like Liverpool will be disappointed to hear that top defensive transfer target Sven Botman is and has not been close to departing French club Lille.
In a report via TEAMtalk, 21-year-old Dutch defender Sven Botman has been rumoured to have already agreed in principle a lucrative transfer with a big European club, and many have speculated that it could be Liverpool.
However, the report has a quote from the player’s agent Nickie Bruinenberg, saying such a deal in-place is “fake news”.
A transfer deal up to £39million has been rumoured but that has seemingly been shot down, including by reliable transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who posted this past weekend that a deal for Botman has ‘never been close’;
Sven Botman will certainly be a key player in the summer transfers market, but there’s still no agreement with any English club as of today. “Fake news”, agent Bruinenberg comments. Tottenham and Liverpool were interested in January but he’s never been close to leave Lille. 🔴
