‘Take-it-or-leave-it’ – Man City to make club record bid of £100m for striker

Manchester City are set to play their hand in the transfer market this summer, according to the Daily Star, and bid £100million for ‘wantaway’ striker.

The report claims this will be a ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ offer, a club record bid, for Tottenham and England star Harry Kane, who has made no secret of wanting to win trophies.

The offer of £100m is likely to fall way short of Spurs’ apparent valuation of north of £150m, but Manchester City aren’t likely to go higher considering Kane’s age of 27 and his injury track record.

Potential negotiation points on both parties may point to the farcical managerial situation at Spurs, as well as Kane’s poor first two games at the Euros – further below par performances could see the England striker’s price-tag take a tumble.
