Álvaro Morata is going to make a move to Galatasaray, leaving AC Milan on an initial loan deal. The transfer includes an option for purchase that depends on how good he plays, which is a big change in Morata’s career.

Morata’s Move to Galatasaray

Álvaro Morata is in the news as he gets ready to join Galatasaray leaving AC Milan. According to what football journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted Morata is going to Istanbul with his agent, Juanma López from the Niagara Team. The transfer is set up as a loan until the end of 2024-25 season and Galatasaray can extend it or buy him depending on how well Morata does.


This move is another big step for the Spanish striker who’s played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe including Atlético Madrid.

Morata’s Career and Achievements

Morata’s played all over showing he can fit in different places, having played in Spain, Italy and England. Born in Madrid in 1992 the 1.89-meter forward has been really important for Spain’s national team scoring 37 goals in 84 games. In December 2024 people thought he was worth about €13 million which shows how good he is in football.

Morata’s moved around a lot including when Chelsea paid €66 million for him in 2017 and when he went to AC Milan for €13 million in 2024.

Transfer Dynamics in Football

This transfer is happening when lots of other moves are going on too. AC Milan is looking for new players, and they want Santiago Gimenez and Chelsea’s Joao Felix. At the same time there’s lots of other stuff happening like Sebastián Rodríguez going to Montevideo City Torque and Iván Rodríguez joining Necaxa. All this shows how teams are always changing their plans and players are moving around.
