Shock Manchester United striker target opens up on ‘failed’ last-ditch move in January

It’s starting to look a lot like Manchester United enquired on a number of striker options towards Deadline Day in January and one of them has opened up on the shock interest from the Premier League giants.

Brighton’s veteran, 36-year-old striker Glenn Murray, was reportedly being lined-up to fill the gap left by the injured Marcus Rashford.

I’ve seen the story, but I haven’t heard much about it,” Murray was quoted stating via the Star.

I just let my agent deal with all that and I just try and concentrate on what I’ve got to do.”

Murray has scored just one goal this season for the Seagulls and would have been a questionable choice for Manchester United, should he have signed before the deadline last Friday.

Glenn Murray has gone on to sign an extension to his contract at Brighton, keeping him on the south coast until 2021.
