Shock as Liverpool ready to ‘muscle in’ on a top Barcelona target
Barcelona are facing some shock competition in Liverpool, with a report in Spanish source Marca claiming that the Reds are ready to ‘muscle in’ on a soon to be free agent.
Lyon’s attacking star Memphis Depay is a free agent in the summer and the 27-year-old is set to move on with Barcelona the frontrunners, having tried to sign the Dutchman last summer, but were priced out.
Liverpool are reportedly waiting in the wings and may yet decide to make a move once Barcelona show their hand, but it would be quite the surprise to see the former Manchester United man rock up at Anfield this summer.
