Sheffield Wednesday boss Steve Bruce reveals free transfer market plans
Sheffield Wednesday started life officially under Steve Bruce’s tenure with an important 1-0 victory, despite a number of players missing due to injury.
Deadline Day saw some new incomings in the form of Dominic Iorfa, Rolando Aarons and Achraf Lazaar, but with the free transfer market still open and available to Steve Bruce, the experienced manager revealed his plans in quotes carried by The Star;
“I don’t think now I will be looking to bring anybody in. As I have said to all of them (the Owls players), we’re going to work with the squad we’ve got. Hopefully I will give most of them a chance.”
“I certainly won’t break up the squad and I won’t have people training elsewhere with the Under-23s.”
“I will keep the main group if we can. It is not going to be easy that because of the numbers.”
Sheffield Wednesday hsot Reading at the weekend and it appears that Owls fans won’t have any new incomings for the rest of the season, but the feel good factor appears to have returned to Hillsborough.
