Lazio are considering Giovanni Simeone as a potential replacement for Ciro Immobile, who may be on the move. The club is also targeting Mason Greenwood, despite interest from other teams. Meanwhile, Napoli’s defensive signings could influence Simeone’s future.

  • Lazio may part ways with Ciro Immobile, opening the door for Giovanni Simeone.
  • Mason Greenwood remains a key target for Lazio despite other interests.
  • Napoli is strengthening its defense with significant signings, which could impact Simeone’s future.

Ciro Immobile’s Potential Departure

Ciro Immobile, the 34-year-old prolific striker for SS Lazio, might be on the move. Having joined Lazio in 2016 for €9.5m, Immobile has been a cornerstone for the team, scoring 201 goals in 353 Serie A appearances. His current contract runs until June 2026, but his future at the club is now uncertain. Immobile’s impressive career statistics include 329 goals in 593 appearances across various leagues and competitions. The Italian international has also notched 17 goals in 57 caps for the national team. If Immobile leaves, Lazio will need to fill a significant void in their attack.

Giovanni Simeone: A Viable Option

Giovanni Simeone, currently with SSC Napoli, emerges as a potential replacement for Immobile. The 29-year-old Argentine forward joined Napoli in July 2023 for €12m and has a contract until June 2026. Known for his versatility and goal-scoring ability, Simeone has scored 72 goals in 268 Serie A appearances. His market value stands at €10.00m, making him an attractive option for Lazio. Simeone’s career also includes stints at Hellas Verona, Cagliari, Fiorentina, and Genoa. With Napoli focusing on fortifying their defense with players like Alessandro Buongiorno and Rafa Marín, Simeone’s departure could be feasible.

Mason Greenwood: Another Target for Lazio

Despite interest from Olympique Marseille, Lazio remains determined to pursue Mason Greenwood. The 22-year-old English forward, currently with Manchester United, has a market value of €25.00m. Greenwood has shown versatility, playing as a right winger, center-forward, and left winger. His career includes 89 goals in 212 appearances across various leagues and competitions, including the Premier League and LaLiga. Greenwood’s potential move to Marseille involves an initial loan with an obligation to buy, but Lazio’s interest adds another layer of complexity to the negotiations.

As the transfer window heats up, Lazio’s strategic moves could significantly reshape their squad ahead of the next season. Fans and analysts alike will be closely watching how these potential transfers unfold.
