Mathias Pogba is going on trial in Paris because he supposedly tried to get €13 million from his brother Paul Pogba. The case got six people who are being charged with keeping someone against their will and trying to get money from them, and it’s gotten a lot of attention from the media. Paul Pogba, who plays for Juventus now has had a really good football career and even won a World Cup.

The trial of Mathias Pogba, who’s the brother of famous football player Paul Pogba has started in Paris. Mathias and five other people are being charged with trying to get €13 million from his brother. They’re being charged with keeping him against his will and supposedly holding Paul at gunpoint. Even though Mathias wasn’t actually there when it happened, the people charging them say he was really important in putting pressure on his brother. If they find them guilty they could end up in prison for up to seven years.


Paul Pogba’s Football Career

Paul Pogba who plays for Juventus right now, has made quite a name for himself in football. He’s really good as a central midfielder and has played for some of the biggest teams in Europe. He started playing professionally with Manchester United then went to Juventus in 2012 for free. When he went back to Manchester United in 2016 it was like the biggest transfer ever at that time, and now he’s back at Juventus since 2022. One of the best things he did was winning the FIFA World Cup with France in 2018.

Like Manchester City’s got all these legal problems about money stuff, and people getting arrested for saying racist things at big matches, football keeps having all these different problems. It shows how football needs better rules and standards to make sure everything stays fair and proper.
