Juventus has made a big move by telling their captain, Danilo, he’s not going to be part of their future plans which shows they’re changing direction. - Danilo got told he’s not going to be part of Juventus’ future plans.
- Both the board and coaching staff made this choice together.
- Danilo’s got to be gone by January.
Juventus’ New Direction
In a move nobody really saw coming, Juventus decided they’re going to split up with their captain, Danilo Luiz da Silva. Fabrizio Romano tweeted about it saying this shows big changes at the club. Danilo, who came to Juventus back in 2019 for €37 million has been super important for them and even helped win Serie A. He’s played 156 games and scored 8 goals which is why nobody expected him to leave.
Danilo’s Instagram post after the decision made by Juventus board and coaching staff: he’s out of the project.

Danilo’s Career and Where He Might Go
Danilo’s been really good at big teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City before coming to Juventus. He can play right-back centre-back and in midfield which makes lots of teams interested in him. He’s played 65 times for Brazil too so lots of big European teams are probably going to want him. There’s a good chance he might go back to the Premier League maybe even to Manchester City.
What This Means for Juventus and Serie A
Losing Danilo isn’t just about losing a player it’s about Juventus changing everything up. The team hasn’t lost yet but they keep drawing instead of winning games. They’re trying to stay in the top six in Serie A and everyone’s looking at how they play now. Danilo leaving shows how things keep changing with players and team plans in the league.
When January comes around everyone’s going to be watching to see where Danilo ends up next. If you want to know more about how Juventus is doing right now check out their match analysis and the Serie A page.
