Vieira’s Managerial Journey
Patrick Vieira, who’s been huge in football starts a new adventure as manager of Genoa. He first started managing in Major League Soccer with New York City FC where he got them playing attacking football and made the playoffs twice. After that he went to Europe managing OGC Nice in Ligue 1 then had a good spell at Crystal Palace where he did really well with young players and kept them in the Premier League.

A Storied Playing Career
Before he became a manager Vieira was an amazing player. He was really important at Arsenal and helped them win lots of stuff in the late 90s and early 2000s. He also played for Juventus, Inter Milan and Manchester City. For France, he was super important and helped them win the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 2000. All this experience as a player really helps him now that he’s managing.
Reunited with Familiar Faces
When Vieira came to Genoa he got to work with Mario Balotelli again who he knew from Inter Milan. This makes things interesting at his new job as he tries to use what he knows to help Genoa do better. Since Genoa needs to improve their position Vieira’s experience in European football could really help them deal with their problems.
