AC Milan are looking into the possibility of appointing either Oliver Glasner or Matthias Jaissle as there next manager. Glasner is currently available, which means a quick agreement could be possible, while negotiations for Jaissle with Al-Ahli might run into some compensation issues.

  • AC Milan is considering Oliver Glasner and Matthias Jaissle for the managerial role.
  • Glasner’s availability could lead to a quick signing if terms are agreed.
  • Negotiations with Al-Ahli for Jaissle may involve compensation challenges.

Glasner’s Proven Track Record

AC Milan find themselves at a crossroads in there managerial search, weighing up the merits of two very different candidates, Oliver Glasner and Matthias Jaissle. Oliver Glasner, an experienced Austrian manager is well known for his tactical know-how, particularly when it comes to defensive setups and counter-attacking play. His successful spells at VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt speak for themselves, including guiding Frankfurt to a UEFA Europa League victory back in 2022, and earning a Champions League spot with Wolfsburg. The fact that Glasner is currently without a club makes him a very attractive option for Milan, as a deal could potentially be wrapped up quite quickly if both sides can come to an agreement.

Jaissle’s Rising Star

On the other hand Matthias Jaissle offers a dynamic and exciting alternative. The German coach has been turning heads with his high-intensity pressing style and modern tactical systems, very much in the mold of the Red Bull football philosophy. Currently working at Al-Ahli, Jaissle has already left quite a mark on the game, having led RB Salzburg to multiple Austrian Bundesliga titles and there first-ever Champions League knockout stage appearance. His growing reputation hasn’t gone unnoticed, with clubs like AC Milan and Liverpool both said to be interested. However, trying to bring Jaissle to Milan could prove tricky, as Al-Ahli will likely want some form of compensation.

Strategic Considerations for Milan

Deciding between Glasner and Jaissle throws up some pretty different strategic questions for AC Milan. Glasner brings a solid track record and is ready to go straight away, but Jaissle’s forward-thinking style and his growing status in European football makes him a very compelling option too. Milan will need to take a good hard look at there long-term vision before they make any kind of decision here. Whoever they choose will not only shape the clubs tactical identity, but will also say a lot about there ambitions in Serie A and across Europe. As Milan think over there next move, fans are waiting eagerly to see which direction this historic club decides to go in.
