Real Madrid look to Fulham midfielder as a ‘budget option’ £17million transfer
Real Madrid’s finances could be stretched somewhat off the back of football’s suspension, meaning there could be less available for manager Zinedine Zidane to spend in the next transfer window.
As a result, a report in the Mail claims that Madrid are targeting a swoop for Fulham midfielder Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa, who is currently on-loan at Spanish club Villarreal.
Fulham loaned out the Cameroonian international after relegation down into the Championship last summer, with the 24-year-old going on to make 28 appearances for Villarreal and obviously impressing Real Madrid’s scouts in the process.
Fulham will look for Madrid to meet the midfielder’s release clause which is £22million, but the Spanish giants will play hard ball and look to conclude a deal around £17m.
