Real Madrid in pole position to sign €60m ‘Casemiro successor’ as AC Milan ends interest

Real Madrid’s transfer rumour mills are promising big things for when the window finally re-opens, and the latest player said to be seen as a Casemiro successor, will certainly excite fans of the La Liga giants.

In a report from Italian source Calciomercato, via Caught Offside, Real Madrid reportedly have a clear pathway to sign Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, after AC Milan all-but ended their interest due to a hefty €60 million price-tag.

The 17-year-old French U21 international has had an impressive breakout season in Ligue 1 and has featured 36 times, scoring just once – but that was a winning goal against Paris St-Germain.

Zinedine Zidane will be keen to redesign the side in a new image this summer and signing one of his country’s top prospects makes perfect sense, with major outgoings expected in Madrid.
