Real Madrid eye shock transfer bid lifeline to Man Utd outcast
Real Madrid are weighing up a shock transfer for Manchester United Donny van de Beek – a shock move were it to happen considering the Dutchman almost becoming a non-entity at Old Trafford.
Since his switch from Ajax to Manchester United in September 2020, Donny van de Beek has made just 41 appearances, with only two substitute outings in the Premier League this season – amassing just 16 minutes on the pitch.
The transfer news coming out of Spanish news source Fichajes claims that Real Madrid want to revive the midfielder’s career, but will only make a deal happen for a big cut-price – based on his lack of game time.
Donny van de Beek is contracted until 2025, having signed for an initial £35million fee.
