Veiga’s Football Journey
Gabri Veiga started playing pro at Celta Vigo where he did pretty good even though he didn’t play that much. When he went to Al Ahli in 2023 everyone was talking about it cause they paid like €40 million for him. Some people said he shouldn’t have gone to Saudi Pro League cause he was so young but he proved them wrong and was super important for Al Ahli when they won the AFC Champions League Elite.
Playing in Saudi Arabia really changed things for him cause he got to show everyone what he could do on a big stage.
Interest from European Clubs
FC Porto wasn’t the only team that wanted Veiga cause Newcastle United was really interested in getting him too. Newcastle wanted him cause they were trying to make their midfield better which shows how good people think Veiga is in European football. But he picked FC Porto cause it matched what he wanted to do with his career and now he can get even better in one of Europe’s good leagues.
