So Enzo Barrenechea started playing at Juventus then went to Aston Villa in this deal where they swapped him plus some money for Douglas Luiz. During 2024/25, he went to Valencia on loan and he was really important in helping them not get relegated. While Carlos Corberan was in charge Barrenechea played like 31 games and even got picked for Argentina’s national team. Now he’s going to Benfica which is like a whole new thing for him where he can show everyone how good he is.

This whole transfer thing makes sense for both Barrenechea and Aston Villa. The Premier League team needs to deal with their players and money especially since other leagues might want some of their guys.
