Tottenham Hotspur’s latest game against Arsenal has got manager Ange Postecoglou pretty upset. The North London derby started well with Tottenham scoring first but then they kind of lost their way and Arsenal came back to win it. This loss shows the big problems Postecoglou’s dealing with, as he tries to get the team playing better and winning more games.

  • Ange Postecoglou said Tottenham’s performance was “not good enough.”
  • The defense made mistakes that let Arsenal score and win.
  • Tottenham needs to start playing better in the league.

Postecoglou’s Harsh Words

After the North London derby Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou wasn’t happy at all with how his team played. He was really upset about how the team lost their way during the match and called it “not good enough.” Even though Son Heung-min got them ahead early, Tottenham’s defense messed up and let Arsenal take control of the game.

The Hard Parts of Being Manager

Ange Postecoglou who’s the first Australian to ever manage in the Premier League, hasn’t had it easy at Tottenham Hotspur. He likes to play attacking football with a 4-3-3 formation but the team keeps going up and down with their performances and the defense keeps making mistakes. Having players like Rodrigo Bentancur getting hurt has made things even harder. Looking at what he’s done so far you can see he wants to make the team better with what he’s got even though everyone wants results right now.

What’s Next for Tottenham

Since Tottenham isn’t doing so good in the league right now they’re thinking about getting new players and changing how they play. They did okay in the Carabao Cup which gives some hope but there’s still lots of problems to fix. While Tottenham thinks about what life’s going to be like when players like Son Heung-min move on they’re trying to keep him around while looking for new players too. When you look at other teams you can see why planning ahead matters so much. Going forward Tottenham’s got to fix their defense and score more goals if they want things to get better.
