Darwin Nunez’s Season So Far
During the 2024/2025 season Darwin Nunez has played in 15 Premier League games and he’s got 2 goals and helped with 2 more. Even though these numbers don’t really match up with how much Liverpool paid Benfica for him you can see when he plays that there’s more to come. The guy from Uruguay has also been playing in the Champions League and other cups which shows he can do different things and really wants to help Liverpool score goals.
Remember THAT Darwin Nunez goal at Brentford last season? A “two in ten finish at best”, according to Michael Owen?
As he returns to the Gtech Community Stadium today, the sense that Nunez is making progress has been lost, writes @_pauljoyce
