Defensive Mastery and Versatility
Matusiwa is really good at defending that’s what everyone knows him for which makes him super important in midfield. He’s great when playing in a double pivot or like when there’s three in midfield usually on the right side. This season his stats were pretty impressive with like 0.4 blocks and 2.1 clearances every 90 minutes and he completed 87.3% of his passes which is really good. He can do short passes and long passes which makes him really useful on the field.
Impact on Ipswich Town’s Future
Getting Matusiwa is gonna help Ipswich Town a lot in midfield cause he’s good at defending and moving the ball forward. Since Ipswich wants to get back to the Premier League, having someone who played in France and trained at Ajax is gonna be really important for them. Everyone’s gonna be watching to see how he does going from playing in France to the Championship.
