Chelsea are having a rough time during the festive season with injuries, goal droughts and tactical changes messing up their performance. Key players like Wesley Fofana are out injured which is hurting the team’s defense while Nicolas Jackson can’t seem to score goals which is a big problem up front. Also Noni Madueke keeps coming in and out of the team which shows they’re probably changing things up with tactics.

  • Wesley Fofana being injured is really hurting Chelsea’s defense.
  • Nicolas Jackson not scoring is making it hard for Chelsea to attack.
  • Noni Madueke keeps getting switched in and out showing they’re mixing up the tactics.

Wesley Fofana’s Impact on Defense

Chelsea’s chances of doing good during the festive period have taken a hit because of Wesley Fofana getting injured. The French defender who Chelsea bought from Leicester City in 2022 for €80.4 million has been super important for the defense. His market value is €30 million and him being out injured is really messing up Chelsea’s defense. He played 12 games in the league and was really good at defending which shows how much they’re missing him now that he’s injured.

Nicolas Jackson’s Goal Drought

When it comes to attacking Chelsea’s having problems with Nicolas Jackson who just can’t score lately. Jackson who plays up front hasn’t found the net in ages which people are calling a dry spell. This is giving manager Enzo Maresca a headache even though he knows a lot about fixing team problems. The team can’t attack properly cause Jackson just isn’t playing good which is what they need from him.

Noni Madueke’s Inconsistent Appearances

Besides all the injuries and scoring problems Noni Madueke keeps getting switched in and out of games which means they’re probably changing tactics again. The winger keeps getting played sometimes but not others which looks like they’re trying to fix how the team plays and performs. Maybe Maresca’s doing this cause Mykhailo Mudryk got suspended for failing a drugs test. With Mudryk out they need to change things up and that’s probably why Madueke keeps getting played different amounts.

Chelsea’s problems right now show how hard it is to keep up in the Premier League especially when there’s lots of games happening. The team needs to be tough to deal with all this stuff while they try to get better and move up in the league table.
