The Impact of Injuries in Football

Myles Sohna having to retire really shows how injuries can mess up young players careers. When he was playing for Aston Villa’s youth teams Sohna played 28 games scored 1 goal and was on the field for 1,929 minutes. But he couldn’t get past those ACL injuries that kept happening which made him quit football early.

Sohna isn’t the only one dealing with this stuff. Other players like Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are having injury problems too which affects how their teams play and what they can do. You can read more about Arsenal’s problems with Saka and Rice being injured in another article.

Opportunities Amidst Adversity

Even though injuries can end some careers they sometimes give chances to other players. Like Morgan Rogers who just got picked for the England team because some other players got injured which let new talents show what they can do. Also Wesley Fofana had to leave the French team cause of his knee problems which shows the hard choices players gotta make when they’re injured.

Myles Sohna quitting football doesn’t just affect him personally it shows bigger problems with injuries in football. These problems change how teams look and let other players get their chance to play.
