Jadon Sancho can sign for a new club immediately without a transfer fee, leaving the 26-year-old to weigh up Premier League discussions, a potential Borussia Dortmund return and wider overseas interest. No agreement, preferred destination or completed move has been confirmed.
- Sancho can join a club outside the transfer window as a free agent.
- At least two unnamed Premier League clubs are reportedly in discussions with him following fresh approaches.
- Borussia Dortmund could yet be an option, while clubs in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are also showing interest.
Jadon Sancho’s Current Situation
Jadon Sancho is assessing his next step after leaving Manchester United, with clubs exploring late-market opportunities.
Sancho has also been training with non-league side Flixton to maintain his fitness ahead of the new season. A move abroad is believed to appeal despite Premier League interest, although he remains open to the options in front of him and has not yet settled on a destination.
Premier League Interest and a Possible Dortmund Return
At least two Premier League clubs are reportedly in discussions with Sancho after fresh approaches, but the clubs involved have not been identified and the situation remains at the talks stage.
Borussia Dortmund remain a potential route back to Germany rather than an advanced next step. Sancho made 158 appearances across two spells for the German club, so the reunion angle is easy to understand, and with Giannis Konstantelias expected to miss most of the season through injury, this may be one factor keeping that option in view.
Clubs in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are also credited with interest in Sancho, giving the winger a broad set of overseas options if he does continue to favour a move abroad. English and overseas routes both remain live.
Sancho’s Next Career Decision
Sancho is making this choice after a season on loan at Aston Villa, where he scored twice in 39 appearances. That return did not settle his longer-term future, but it did keep him active at a high level before he moved into free-agent territory this summer.
His recent career path also includes a Chelsea loan that ended with the London club paying a £5 million penalty to send him back to Manchester United rather than complete a permanent move. Dortmund’s familiarity and the possibility of a fresh start overseas may both carry extra appeal if his current preference for playing abroad holds, but several options remain on the table and his next club is still unresolved.
