Arsenal are talking about signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad which could really help their midfield situation. The deal’s not done yet but Arsenal are being pretty quick to get new players after having a rough season.
- Arsenal are trying to get Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad
- Real Madrid kinda wanted him too but haven’t really done anything about it
- Getting Zubimendi would help Arsenal fix some problems they got
Arsenal’s Pursuit of Zubimendi
Arsenal really want Martin Zubimendi to make their midfield better. The 26-year-old Spanish guy from Real Sociedad might end up joining the Gunners if everything works out ok. David Ornstein posted on Twitter that it’s happening and Zubimendi should be there when pre-season starts.
🚨 Arsenal regard Martin Zubimendi move from Real Sociedad as done & signed. 26yo Spain midfielder expected to report at start of pre-season with #AFC. Real Madrid sources say #RMFC never actively pursued situation. That + more transfer info @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/RNAmQJuvU9

Getting Zubimendi would help make Arsenal stronger and more creative. He’s played like over 200 games in La Liga for Real Sociedad and played for Spain too, so he’d probably do pretty good at Arsenal.
Real Madrid’s Missed Opportunity
Nobody really knows what Real Madrid wants to do. Even though Zubimendi wants to stay in La Liga Real Madrid didn’t want to pay the money to get him which let Arsenal start talking to him instead. Maybe it’s cause they don’t know if Carlo Ancelotti is staying or going which is messing up their plans for new players.

Zubimendi’s Role in Arsenal’s Future
If Zubimendi comes to Arsenal it could be really important for making the team better. He could help fix some of the problems they got and make the midfield more solid and creative. Arsenal fans should be pretty happy about next season and getting some new players.
