Amid the fallout of the League Cup penalty shootout defeat, Chelsea’s number two goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly a ‘wanted man’.

According to a report in the Star, Newcastle United are prepared to flex their deep pockets this summer and sign the 27-year-old Spanish international – ending a somewhat controversial spell at Chelsea.

Kepa was brought on in the dying minutes of extra time in the League Cup final to be the penalty stopping specialist. However, having failed to save 10 Liverpool penalties, Kepa stepped up for his own, but blazed it over the bar – handing the Reds cup success.

A loan move with an obligation to buy could also be a possibility according to the report, while it’s also worth noting that Atletico Madrid are also monitoring Kepa’s availability.
