Williams Sáez, a young left-back who’s showing lots of promise, looks like he’s gonna join Unión La Calera real soon. If this happens Sáez would move up from Chile’s Primera B to the main Primera División which fits with what La Calera wants to do by getting young players who could be really good.

  • Williams Sáez is about to sign with Unión La Calera
  • The move would get him into Primera División
  • La Calera wants to build up their team with young players like Sáez

A Rising Star: Williams Sáez

Williams Genaro Sáez Leiva who was born December 19 2003 in Molina Chile plays as a left-back for CDP Curicó Unido in Primera B right now. He’s like 1.77 meters tall and can play different spots on the left side of the field which is pretty cool. His deal with Curicó Unido runs out end of 2024 so maybe that’s why this move to Unión La Calera could work out good for everyone.

Transfer Implications for Sáez and La Calera

If Williams Sáez goes to Unión La Calera it’d be huge for the 20-year-old. Getting to play in the Chilean Primera División means he’d be playing against better teams and could show what he can do at a higher level. For La Calera getting someone young who can play different positions like Sáez fits what they’re trying to do with getting good young players.

Chilean Football Landscape

Unión La Calera plays in the Chilean Primera División and they usually do pretty good. Getting Williams Sáez would help them have more options in defense and fits with what they wanna do long-term with young players. Also there’s all this stuff happening with managers like Mariano Soso maybe coming in and Gustavo Munúa leaving Banfield which shows how things are always changing in football with managers and players moving around. It’s just how clubs try to get better and keep up with everyone else.
