Cleverley’s Managerial Journey
Tom Cleverley became Head Coach of Watford FC in April 2024, bringing what he learned from playing at clubs like Manchester United and Everton to his new job. Even though things looked good at first he ran into problems like not having enough players and the team playing good one week and bad the next. These things led to Watford finishing 14th in the Championship which is why they decided to let him go.

Challenges and Achievements
During his time as Head Coach Cleverley tried really hard to get the team playing better and people noticed how much effort he put in. But some people weren’t happy with who the team bought and sold especially when it came to strikers. He admitted things weren’t perfect which shows he was learning as a new manager. Even though he wasn’t at Watford very long he definitely learned a lot about being a manager.
Future Prospects for Watford and Cleverley
Now Watford FC are looking for someone new to be head coach and want to keep improving what they already got. This change means they can try new things and lots of experienced managers might want the job. Tom Cleverley could still do well as a manager somewhere else cause he played for big teams like Aston Villa and now has some experience being in charge at Watford.
