Sittingbourne FC’s amazing season ended with a penalty shootout loss in the playoff final. With manager Ryan Maxwell leading the way the team got 101 points, which wasn’t quite enough to beat Ramsgate’s 109 points. Players like Ade Azeez and D’Sean Theobalds were really important showing how good they were and working hard all season long.

Playoff Heartbreak for Sittingbourne FC
The playoffs were super intense for Sittingbourne FC and everyone was really hopeful. After they won against Merstham in the semi-final they had a really tough final match. It went all the way to penalties and they lost by just a tiny bit which was really sad after such an amazing season. The whole year came down to just a few moments which you can see from what LOVE NON-LEAGUE posted on Twitter.
It was a pleasure assisting @SittingbourneFC on recruitment in the second part of the season, but the devastation that a penalty shootout playoff final defeat brings is not an experience I’d want to repeat. The whole season comes down to the width of a crossbar.

Even though they lost in the playoffs, the team did really good all year. Sittingbourne FC never gave up and kept fighting which shows how hard they worked and planned everything out.
Leadership and Future Prospects
Ryan Maxwell being the manager and football director really helped Sittingbourne do well. He knew how to get the team going and make good plans which helped them score 114 goals in the league and not let many in. Players like Ade Azeez who scored lots of important goals and D’Sean Theobalds who helped control the middle of the field were super important in how well the team played.
Looking forward Maxwell and the team have made things really good for next year and everyone thinks they can do even better. What they did this season shows they can be really good and there’s lots to look forward to.

This season shows how Sittingbourne FC wants to be the best they can be and do really well. The team played really good and set high standards for themselves. As they get ready for next season they want to build a team that’s gonna win lots of games and do even better.
