Everyone knows Conceição is really good at helping young players get better and making teams really strong at defense. Al-Ittihad got him because they want to be better, and like all the other Saudi Pro League teams getting really good managers and players shows they want everyone to know about their league.
The Competitive Landscape of the Saudi Pro League
The Saudi Pro League is getting bigger and bigger with all these amazing players and managers they’re getting. Al-Ittihad getting someone like Conceição is kind of like what other teams are doing like Al-Hilal who just changed their manager too. Right now Mohammed Al-Shalhoub is running things there for a bit, but they might try to get Carlo Ancelotti.
Al-Qadsiah is also doing some cool stuff, and they’re really giving Al-Nassr a run for their money especially since they got Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. You can see how the league is getting way more interesting with all these changes.
Conceição’s European Legacy
Before maybe coming to Al-Ittihad Conceição did some really good stuff in Europe. When he was at FC Porto he won the Primeira Liga a bunch of times and showed everyone he knows what he’s doing. His teams are always really good at defending and attacking real quick which should work pretty good with Al-Ittihad.
Conceição also worked at AC Milan before which shows he can handle big teams, His success in Europe means he’ll probably do good in Saudi Arabia too. With the Saudi Pro League getting more and more big names having Conceição there is going to make people take the league more serious.
