With Andy Peaks in charge Tamworth FC had a fantastic FA Cup run in the 2024-2025 season. The club got recognition at the National Game Awards with Isuzu where they got the FA Best Cup Run of the Year award. They beat teams from higher leagues including Macclesfield, Huddersfield Town and Burton Albion which was pretty incredible.

The best part of their FA Cup run was when they played Tottenham Hotspur in the third round. Even though they were just a non-league team, Tamworth kept the Premier League team from scoring for the whole normal time before losing in extra time which was amazing. Everyone in the country was talking about them after that.
Celebrating Community and Achievement
At the National Game Awards at AFC Wimbledon’s Plough Lane, everyone was talking about how important fans and community are in non-league football. The awards show off success on and off the pitch and what Tamworth FC did was really special. Andy Peaks was really proud of what his team did especially getting to play against big teams.
The way Peaks led the team and how well they did made everyone in town proud and got more people interested in the club. The FA Cup run was huge for the town and showed how much passion smaller teams have.
