The Jersey Bulls have hit a major problem in their season after their appeal against a points deduction got turned down. They had won the Combined Counties League Premier South title on goal difference at first. But then the Bulls got 3 points taken away for playing Toby Ritzema who wasn’t allowed to play in a game against Tooting and Mitcham United. Ritzema couldn’t play because he had too many yellow cards but nobody told the club properly about it. This meant the Bulls went from being first down to third place which really messed up their chances of going up automatically.
- The Bulls lost three points for playing someone who shouldn’t have played.
- They dropped from first place down to third.
- Their chances of going up straight away are now at risk.
Impact of Points Deduction on Jersey Bulls
Now that they lost these points, nobody knows if Jersey Bulls can go up or not. They were going to go up automatic but now it’s going to be real hard. The play-offs that were supposed to happen on April 26 2025 got pushed back cause they were still dealing with the appeal. These games will decide who gets to go up to the eighth level of English football which makes everything more complicated. Their last game against Sandhurst is super important now for trying to go up.
Jersey Bulls have failed in their appeal against a points deduction that cost them the Combined Counties Premier South title – but the promotion picture is still no clearer.

Administrative Oversight and Its Consequences
This whole points thing shows how hard it is for clubs to deal with all the rules about players and paperwork and stuff. The Jersey Bulls said they had good reasons cause nobody told them clearly about Ritzema being suspended. But since they lost their appeal they gotta try and win the play-offs if they wanna go up. Even though this is really bad the team might still do good if they can get past all this paperwork mess.
