Watford FC has got themselves a new player, signing Cypriot midfielder Hector Kyprianou for free. The club wanted to make their midfield stronger with new head coach Paulo Pezzolano and that’s what they’re doing. Kyprianou who started at Tottenham Hotspur’s youth academy has played over 200 games already at just 23 which shows how good he is. He played at Leyton Orient and Peterborough United where he even became the captain showing he can lead a team. This move shows Watford wants to make their team better for next season.

Kyprianou’s Football Journey
Hector Kyprianou has done really good at every club he’s played for. At Leyton Orient he played 46 games in the 2021/22 season and lots of bigger clubs noticed him. He did great at Peterborough United too, even scoring at Wembley in the Vertu Trophy final. He was made captain there and helped the team do really well. Watford thinks he’ll be really good for them too and looking at how he’s played before, they might be right.

International Experience and Future Prospects
For his country, Kyprianou has played for Cyprus youth teams and then got to play his first game for the main team against Norway in a Euro 2024 game. He’s now played 10 times for Cyprus. Coming to Watford isn’t just good for his club career but also helps him get better for his country too. He really wants to do well which is what Watford likes cause they want to do better with Pezzolano in charge.
