Rayados are in advanced talks with Domènec Torrent to appoint him as their new head coach. Torrent who worked alongside Pep Guardiola and managed clubs like New York City FC and Galatasaray, looks like he could really help Rayados before the FIFA Club World Cup.
- Rayados are negotiating with Domènec Torrent for the head coach position
- Torrent has worked with big clubs and managed in different leagues
- Getting him could help Rayados do better internationally
Negotiations with Rayados
Domènec Torrent, who’s been around football management for ages, is pretty much going to be the new head coach of Monterrey, who everyone calls Rayados. He used to help Pep Guardiola coach at places like FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City. Torrent also was in charge of teams in Major League Soccer with New York City FC and the Turkish Super Lig with Galatasaray. Even though he’s done a lot he hasn’t actually won any big trophies as the main manager yet.

Lately Torrent has been managing teams like Flamengo and Atlético San Luis. His knowledge about tactics and dealing with tough situations could really help Rayados especially when they play in international tournaments.
Potential Impact on Rayados
The talks between Domènec Torrent and Rayados are almost done with both sides really wanting to make it happen. This comes after Torrent left Atlético San Luis where he quit after doing okay but not great. The people running Rayados think getting Torrent could help them do better in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Before talking to Rayados Torrent was going to maybe join Chivas another big Mexican team. But that didn’t work out cause they couldn’t agree about signing older players. Now with Rayados Torrent has a new chance to show what he can do with his tactics and leadership in Mexican football.
Torrent’s Managerial Experience
If everything works out, getting Torrent could be really good for Rayados. All the stuff he learned while working at Barcelona and other big European teams should help them play better. The people in charge think Torrent can help them win stuff both in Mexico and in other countries.
Also Torrent knows how to work in different places cause of his time with teams like New York City FC. This could really help Rayados do well in the FIFA Club World Cup.
