Chorley FC pulled off an amazing comeback to beat Chester 3-2 after being down by two goals at first. They won it with goals coming from Mike Calveley George Horbury and Mark Ellis which turned things around after Chester got ahead early through Tom Peers scoring twice.

In an exciting National League North game Chorley FC showed how tough they are by coming back from 2-0 down against Chester. The Non-League Paper posted about how amazing the match was on Twitter. After Tom Peers scored twice early on for Chester, Chorley didn’t give up. Mike Calveley who came over from Curzon Ashton FC in 2020 started the comeback with an important goal. He’s been playing really good this season with 7 goals in 27 games.

George Horbury who’s a young player that signed properly with Chorley in 2024 from Harrogate Town helped keep the comeback going with his goal. Horbury has become really good really quick in midfield and can play different positions in the middle. Mark Ellis finished it off with the winning goal which really showed how much fight Chorley has got.

This win shows not just how tough Chorley is but also proves they’re good at planning in the National League North. With players like Calveley and Horbury doing so well Chorley FC can definitely build on this. Beating Chester shows they can handle pressure which could help them do better in the league.
