Andrew Oluwabori has moved up in his football career by signing with League One’s Exeter City. The quick winger who used to play for FC Halifax Town was really good at attacking for them. • Exeter City thinks Oluwabori’s way of playing will make their attack better.

Oluwabori’s Journey to Exeter City

Andrew Oluwabori who can play different positions as a winger, has made a big move joining Exeter City in League One. While he was at FC Halifax Town he played 23 games in the 2024/2025 season and got six goals. This move is really important for the young English-Nigerian player who’s ready to show what he can do at a higher level.

Exeter City thinks Oluwabori will be real good for their team and his speed and skills will help them attack better. The club really believes he can help them do well in League One.

Influence of Millenic Alli

Oluwabori really wants to get better in English football just like Millenic Alli who also used to play for FC Halifax Town and went on to play higher up. The way Alli did it shows other players from smaller teams that they can make it to the big leagues in English Football League (EFL).

Going to Exeter City isn’t just good for Oluwabori but it’s also helping him get closer to playing in the top leagues of the EFL, kind of like what Alli did before him.

Exeter City’s Strategic Acquisition

Exeter City got Andrew Oluwabori because they wanted to make their team stronger and have more options when attacking. His contract goes until June 30 2027 so he’s going to be important for what the team wants to do. Since he can play right wing attacking mid or left wing, Exeter City can use him lots of different ways.

While the team deals with playing in League One they’ll try to use Oluwabori’s quick playing style and energy. Getting him shows that Exeter City wants to build a team that can win more games and move up in the league.
