Alderney FC’s Unique Recruitment Strategy
Alderney FC which is on the most northern Channel Island that’s got people living on it is getting noticed because of how they find new players. The club gives non-league players from mainland Britain a pretty good deal not just to play football but to live on the island too. Since there’s only like 2100 people living there Alderney FC really helps players find places to live and jobs to do. This is great for players who want something different letting them live work and play football somewhere really nice. The teams ground which everyone calls ‘The Arsenal’ ground makes it even better and players who might not usually look at a small club might actually want to come here.
🗣️ “They are ingeniously thinking outside the box to entice players from Britain’s mainland.”

Progression in the Football Pyramid
The club is trying something new to get better players and move up in football. By showing off how nice it is to live there and what they can offer Alderney FC wants to get good players to help them do better. Even though it’s small the club really wants to do well and stand out. Players who can move around might really like the idea of living on an island while still playing football. It shows how Alderney FC is trying new things to do well in non-league football.
Trends in Non-League Football
What Alderney FC is doing is kind of like what other non-league teams are doing where they gotta think of new ways to get better and deal with problems. Like Robbie Savage did really good things with Macclesfield FC showing how good management can help teams win a lot. But then you got teams like Jersey Bulls FC who got in trouble and got penalties for playing players they weren’t supposed to which messed up their chances to move up. But these teams keep trying to find new ways to get better and get good players.
This new way of getting players makes Alderney FC look really good to players and shows how non-league football keeps changing and trying new stuff.
