The club got the okay to check out new manager options and both Conceição and Luciano Spalletti are interested in taking the job, but it looks like Conceição is the one the sports management team wants the most.

Al-Ittihad’s Managerial Search
Things are really picking up with Al-Ittihad’s search for a manager as they’re trying to find someone new to lead the team. Now that they got permission to hire someone new, Luciano Spalletti and Sérgio Conceição both said they’re interested in being manager. But Conceição is definitely in the lead cause the clubs sports management really wants him. Spalletti who’s known for how good he is at attack just finished doing really good with the Italian national team and even got Napoli to win Serie A last season which was pretty huge for them.

Sérgio Conceição who’s been around managing for a while and done really good at FC Porto, is supposedly the number one pick for Al-Ittihad. He’s really good at changing up his tactics and organizing defense which has made a lot of people in European football respect him plus he won a bunch of titles when he was at Porto. This is happening while other Saudi clubs like Al-Hilal are also changing up their managers to try and get better.
Saudi Pro League’s Growing Competitiveness
The Saudi Pro League is getting noticed all over the world now cause of all these big name managers and players coming in. Teams like Al-Qadsiah are really trying to get to the top spots which shows how the league is getting better and better. You can see this too with how Al Ahli made it all the way to the AFC Champions League final which shows why top football players are wanting to come play for Saudi clubs.
