Manchester City’s ‘reduced contract offer’ to Lionel Messi has been revealed

Manchester City appear to be one of the few clubs in the running to land Lionel Messi on a free transfer this summer, and if a report in the Mirror is to be believed, there has already been a drastic reduction in their planned offer.

According to the report, Man City will offer Lionel Messi a two-year contract (plus an extra year if all parties want it) worth £430 million, whereas last year their offer was closer to the £600 million mark.

Naturally as another year has gone on, City have the power to negotiate on age being a factor, as well as the financial climate.

Paris Saint-Germain are also serious rivals for the signature of the legendary Argentine, but then again Barcelona could still convince Messi to extend his deal.
