Man Utd will revive pursuit of former top target should Mata or Pogba leave

Manchester United’s midfield is looking a little on the bloated side this season, with £40m signing Donny van de Beek struggling to get a look-in since his move from Ajax in the summer. However, Solskjaer’s side are once again being linked to a Premier League star.

Jack Grealish was linked heavily to United earlier this year and had Aston Villa been relegated on the final day of last season, could very well be at Old Trafford now.

United, according to the Manchester Evening News, will revive their interest in the England international, should Paul Pogba or Juan Mata leave next summer.

Grealish has five goals and five assists this season and is pivotal to Villa’s good form. There’s little doubt if United do bid next year, they’ll have to splash out a near club-record fee in order to land the 25-year-old.
