Man Utd eye ‘underperforming’ Spurs star to replace Paul Pogba
Transfer talk is once again surfacing regarding the long-term future of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, whose contract runs out in 2022, with one potential replacement name making headlines.
Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele is a surprise name being linked with a switch to Old Trafford should Pogba depart, despite some questionable performances in north London – according to Italian source Calciomercato.
Ndombele’s talent is there to see, but in flashes, and it would be hard to deny that his current spell at Spurs has certainly been underwhelming and frustrating, with the French international hauled off in the second half defeat to Chelsea this past weekend.
Spurs could very well be open to a sale should they be able to recoup and profit on the £53.8m outlay paid to Lyon in 2019, but it may be a transfer that splits opinion at Old Trafford.
