Man Utd a frontrunner to be surprise suitors for ‘out of favour midfielder’
Manchester United at the moment have no shortage of midfielders and have more of an issue playing them all together in the system Ole Gunnar Solskjaer favours, however the club are being heavily linked with another.
In a report via the Star, United are among the frontrunners being linked with former Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen, who is currently an out of favour man at Inter Milan.
The 28-year-old hasn’t played 90 minutes in Serie A all season and hasn’t featured in the league since October for the Milan club.
Despite having a deal until 2024, both Eriksen and Inter are open to a deal in January to see a parting of ways, but in exchange for a player – United may have to include Fred in a deal, according to the report.
Arsenal are also monitoring Eriksen’s availability but there appears to be no desire from Tottenham to bring back their former star.
