Raheem Sterling has possibly fuelled a raft of transfer talk after openly admitting that Liverpool is a club that he still loves, despite all the negativity he has faced on each return to Anfield.

The England star made the controversial switch to Man City back in 2015, for a then transfer fee of £49 million.

Speaking in a Q&A session for Colossal Sports Management in quotes via the Express, Sterling made the omission about the soon to be Premier League champions;

Would I ever go back to Liverpool? To be honest with you I love Liverpool.”

Don’t get it twisted, they are always in my heart. It’s a team that done a lot for me growing up so…”.

The 25-year-old has so far scored 89 times for Manchester City, contributing 72 assists – winning the Premier League (two times), FA Cup and League Cup (four times).
