Man City’s clear pathway to sign 178-time capped star as contract talks end

Manchester City have been handed a major boost with the news that Real Madrid superstar defender Sergio Ramos has ended contract renewal talks.

The 35-year-old Real Madrid captain is available to sign for a club on a free in January and move in the summer, with Four Four Two reporting that rejected a new contract.

Sergio Ramos is reportedly demanding a two-year-deal minimum but Madrid are refusing to offer more than a 12-month contract with the option to seemingly evaluate in 2022.

Ramos has 178 caps for Spain and is still regarded as one of the best defenders in world football, so it would certainly be a huge coup for Manchester City, but Paris St-Germain are also named as a club who will be keen on the Spaniard.
