Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool ‘hugely impressed’ by USA goalscorer
The Premier League’s top clubs are keenly monitoring the availability and the progress of USA striker Matthew Hoppe, who has emerged impressively at German club Schalke this season.
With the Bundesliga club scrapping for their survival, Hoppe, 19, was thrown into the mix and has scored five goals in 11 appearances since making his debut.
According to a report via 90min, clubs such at Manchester United, City, Liverpool have all been ‘hugely impressed’, with Tottenham also named in the report, as well as clubs in Spain and Italy.
Relegation for Schalke, compounded with financial issues this season, would mean Matthew Hoppe is likely to be attainable for a club willing to pay the right price this summer.
